Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us when you use StructLib. Written to be read.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms are an agreement between you and StructLib (“we”, “us”). They apply to structlib.com, to the apps at app.structlib.com — Structural, Connection Design, Quick Design, SeismoLab and the portal — to the desktop app, and to the AI copilot and the MCP connector (together, “the service”). By using the service you accept these terms. If you use it for an organisation, you accept them for that organisation.

2. Your account

  • Some of the service works without an account. Saving to the cloud, the copilot, the desktop app and the connector need one.
  • Give us a real email address and keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
  • Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.

3. Plans and payment

  • Every account is on the Free plan unless it has Pro or Team. The limits of each plan are on the pricing page, and the apps enforce them.
  • Online payment is not open yet. Until it is, Pro and Team are granted by us, on request, for the period we agree with you.
  • When a plan ends, the account is on Free again from that moment. The Free limits then apply to what you do next; nothing you already made is taken away.
  • Prices shown before payment opens are planned prices and may change. We will tell you the price before you pay anything.

4. Your models and files

  • What you create or upload stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, process it and show it to you and to the people you share it with, in order to provide the service.
  • You must have the right to upload what you upload, including models imported from other programs’ files.
  • Keep your own copies of work that matters to you. You can save any model to your own computer at any time.

5. Engineering responsibility

StructLib is a tool for engineers. It does not replace engineering judgement. You are responsible for your model, for the loads, codes and settings you choose, for checking the results, and for any design, drawing or decision based on them. What the software has been checked against, and what it has not, is on the verification page. The AI copilot proposes and makes edits to your model; check them as you would anyone else’s.

6. Fair use

Do not:

  • break or try to get around the service’s security or the limits of your plan;
  • put a heavy load on the service on purpose, or use automated means to use it other than the connector we provide;
  • use the service to break the law or anyone else’s rights;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service.

The copilot on Pro and Team has no monthly limit, but is subject to fair use: we may limit use far beyond normal engineering work.

7. The desktop app

The desktop app is included in every plan, Free included, with that plan's limits. Each version works until a date fixed when it is built, shown in the app under File → About; after that date it no longer starts, and the current version can be downloaded instead. It needs an internet connection.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running and correct, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering the service, we will give account holders notice and time to download their models.

9. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profit, lost data or business interruption — or for any loss arising from a design or decision based on results from the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Your data is then handled as the Privacy Policy describes.

11. Privacy

How we handle personal data is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the place where StructLib is established. Disputes go to the competent court there, unless the law gives you the right to go to another — for example the courts where you live, if you are a consumer.

13. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
