The help is built into Structural. This page says where, and what it covers.

Help inside the app

Open Structural and press the ? button in the title bar, or F1. Help opens on the page for whatever you are doing — the open dialog, the sidebar or the ribbon tab. It covers:

  • Getting started — the samples, a first model, opening and saving, units and coordinate systems
  • Modelling — nodes, frames, plates, supports, copy and paste
  • Loading — load patterns, cases and combinations; nodal, frame, plate, thermal and wind loads
  • Analysis — running an analysis, its settings, and reading the results
  • Design — the design basis, the member checks, automatic bracing and verification
  • Importing — what each importer reads, converts and reports
  • Reference — every ribbon tab, the AI copilot and the MCP server

Verification

The steel member checks replay 28 published EC3 worked examples, and the analysis runs the CSI verification examples 1-001, 2-002, 2-005 and 2-006 and exact solutions for stability and dynamics, through the same code you use. The verification page lists each source, what is compared, and what is not covered yet.

Connect an AI assistant (MCP)

StructLib is a Model Context Protocol server. An assistant you connect can list your projects, open a model, check it, analyse it, read displacements, reactions and member forces, and edit and save the model — through the same code the app uses. The address is:

  • Claude (web or desktop): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, then paste the address.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http structlib https://app.structlib.com/api/mcp
  • Other MCP clients: add an HTTP (streamable) server with the address above.

The first time, your browser asks you to sign in and to allow the connection, listing exactly what the assistant asked for — reading your models, saving them, running analyses. You can deny any of it, and disconnect it later from your account’s sessions. Analyses requested through a connection run on the cloud engine, which is part of the Pro and Team plans.
