Structural

3D frames and plates: build or import a model, analyse it and check its members — in your browser, on the cloud engine or in the desktop app, with the same solver.

Model

Frames and plates

Draw nodes, members and plates — quads, triangles and polygons — or edit them in the Properties palette. Divide, join, trim, extend, merge, replicate, rotate and mirror.

Supports and connections

Supports and springs, area springs, end releases, end offsets, insertion points, rigid links and floor diaphragms.

Meshing

Plates are meshed for the analysis wherever a joint lies on them, or as you ask with Auto Mesh; loads, supports and results follow the pieces.

Load

Patterns, cases, combinations

Load patterns and load cases, combinations of combinations, envelopes, SRSS and absolute sums.

Every kind of load

Nodal, frame, plate and thermal loads; floor loads carried by load panels to the beams around them; notional loads worked out from the gravity load at every run.

Generated lateral loads

Wind on a solid face or on the members of an open frame, from a pressure profile you give; ASCE 7-16 equivalent lateral force seismic patterns.

Analyse and read the results

Linear static, modal, response spectrum, buckling and P-Delta analysis. A model the solver cannot run is refused with a sentence naming the joint or member and what is missing — never answered with a number that looks right.

Diagrams on the model, every number in a table

Deflected shapes, force and moment diagrams and plate stresses on the model; tables of displacements, reactions, member forces, periods and participating mass that copy into a spreadsheet or download as CSV.

In the browser the solver runs on your own computer and the model does not leave it. On the Pro and Team plans the same solver also runs on the cloud engine and in the desktop app.

The frame forces table: axial force, shears and moments in kN and kN·m at stations along each member for the Dead load case, 418 rows, with a Copy table button.

Design the members

Steel to EN 1993-1-1 (with National Annex factors) or AISC 360, concrete to EC2 or ACI 318, timber to EC5 or NDS — enveloped over the combinations you choose. Automatic bracing works out unbraced lengths from the model’s geometry; the design summary lists every member; the report prints or saves as a PDF.

The steel checks replay 28 published worked examples on every release — what is checked, and what is not.

Design results for the Concrete Building sample: each column is coloured by its demand-to-capacity ratio and labelled with it — values from 0.39 to 0.58 — beside the colour legend.
